From my years of experience in dealing with desktop support,  the only real way to remove malware from a machine is to nuke it, wipe the drive and start from scratch.

Now where’s the humanity eraser thingy...

This is a 1.6 judging by the wheels. The 1.9's got the better wheels no doubt , I had a set of those on my Peugeot 405 back in the day. It made the car look awesome. Funny side story behind these 1.6 wheels came from a dealership where I used to live. They got a few 205 CTI convertibles in with the 1.9 engine. They would NOT come standard with the 1.9 GTI wheels. The dealership ordered the 1.9 GTI wheels to replace the 1.6 wheels because they thought Peugeot made a mistake . They did that for a couple of them until they were told that the CTI did not come with those wheels.

The CTI only had one engine option per given time; the 1.9 straight up replaced the 1.6. In the GTI they lived side by side until 1990 or so.

The CTI 1.9 used a detuned 1.9 though, which had the same hp as the 1.6. So the 1.6 wheels were ‘correct’.

I actually have a CTI 1.6 with a 2.0 turbo swap and 1.9 wheels i n the garage :)

2.0 8v turbo from a 406? That was a swap I was looking at for my vanilla ‘93 Peugeot 405 at the time. That had the 1.8 8v making a whopping 103hp.

Good on you for swapping the fugly wheels right off it. The 15" speedlines is truly where it’s at!

Yes, that’s the engine. Mine came from a Lancia Zeta (built by PSA) minivan, but it’s the same engine that was available in the pre-facelift 406 . And I need the wheels from the 1.9, as they are 15 inch. The 1.6 wheels are 14 inch. With my bigger brakes  this is the result with the 15" wheels, so I can’t go back...
